In Glubokoye, in the Borok tract, the memory of the victims of fascism was honored

Over 27,000 prisoners of war and civilians, tortured and shot by the Nazi invaders in 1941-1944, are buried at this site.

– In just a month, we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. It seems like a very long time ago, but not for those who went through the horrors of war.

Today, only 2 veterans of the Great Patriotic War and 18 underage prisoners remain in the Glubokoye district. Their biographies are true lessons of courage for the younger generation. Only by preserving the memory of those terrible events of the Great Patriotic War and paying tribute to the fallen and those who survived this hell can we believe that such a thing will never happen again, – said Vera Telitsa, Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies, in her speech.
