In Glubokoye, passports were presented to young citizens as part of the campaign 'We are citizens of the Republic of Belarus'

The first document was received by 16 schoolchildren from all over the Glubokoye district who achieved significant success in their studies, creativity, and sports.

Alexander Shubsky, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, took part in the All-Belarusian campaign "We are citizens of Belarus!".

– Today you are receiving not just an identity document, but a certificate of your civil status. A passport is a key to your rights and responsibilities to the state, – emphasized the significance of the moment, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee Alexander Shubsky, while communicating with the youth.

Constitution Day of Belarus is celebrated annually on March 15 as a public holiday. The Basic Law defines the foundations of state power and public life, guarantees the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, defines the foundations of a democratic social rule of law state, and is also an important factor for the formation of civil identity and national identity of Belarusians.

On the eve of one of the main state holidays – Constitution Day – as part of the All-Belarusian campaign "We are citizens of Belarus!", passports of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus were presented to the best representatives of the youth of Glubokoye, who have special merits in studies, sports, and public activities, by Vera Telitsa, Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies.

– For us, adults, this is an opportunity to remind you of the importance of civic responsibility, – said Vera Telitsa. She noted that receiving a passport is not only a formality, but also the beginning of a new stage in the life of every young citizen.
