A new specially protected natural area has been declared in the Glubokoye district

By the decision of the Gluboksky District Executive Committee dated February 25, 2026 No. 217, "Partizansky Spring" has been declared a hydrological monument of local significance "Partizansky Spring".

By the decision of the Gluboksky District Executive Committee dated February 25, 2026 No. 217, "Partizansky Spring" has been declared a hydrological monument of local significance "Partizansky Spring".
The spring is located near the village of Lotyshi, Gluboksky district, within the forest fund of the State Forestry Institution "Dvina Experimental Forest Base of the Institute of Forest of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus". The spring is equipped with a wooden log structure and a boardwalk around it; the spring flows out from under the log structure, and there is a marshy spring field around the well.
In accordance with the classification of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the monument belongs to Category III: Nature Monument - Protection of Natural Attractions.
The necessity of declaring "Partizansky Spring" a hydrological monument of local significance is based on the assessment of the significance of specially protected natural areas in preserving the landscape and biological diversity of Belarus and the compliance of the analyzed territory with the criteria established in the National Strategy for the Development of the System of Specially Protected Natural Areas until January 1, 2030, Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated July 2, 2014 No. 649.
Thus, there are 34 specially protected natural areas functioning in Gluboksky district, covering an area of over 6,000 hectares, including:
- 3 republican significance sanctuaries (Beloye, Dolgoye, Servech);
- 6 local significance sanctuaries (Golubitskaya Pushcha, Dyadok, Gurby, Ginko, Kholmogory, Malinovskiye Vozvyshennosti);
- 13 republican significance nature monuments and 12 local significance nature monuments (Gluboksky Dendrosad, botanical nature monuments, springs, "geological monuments - boulders").
