On April 20, Easter services are held in churches and Orthodox churches of Belarus: this year, Catholics and Orthodox Christians celebrate the Bright Resurrection of Christ on the same day.
On the bright holiday of Easter, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Dmitry Demidov, visited the Cathedral of the Divine Mercy and met with Bishop Oleg Butkevich of the Vitebsk Diocese.
– Easter is a great holiday when we can partake in God's grace. It is symbolic that today Christians of Belarus celebrate this day together. Different denominations in our country coexist peacefully; may this peace and harmony always reign on our land, – noted Oleg Butkevich.
