A requiem rally «In the Name of Life on Earth» was held in the Borok tract

A requiem rally "In the name of life on earth" was held at the memorial complex in the Borok tract – a place special to the people of Glubokoye, a place of memory and sorrow, where over 27,000 Soviet prisoners of war, victims of the fascist concentration camp "Berezwecz", are buried.

Representatives of the district leadership, work collectives and public organizations, labor veterans, youth and schoolchildren took part in the rally.

– We must defend the sacred truth about our Victory. New generations must know why the war is called the Great War and be proud of the Victory, – said the rally participants.

– The residents of the district went through all the trials of the war years. Thousands of our countrymen went to the front, many did not return from the battlefields. Those who remained in the rear worked tirelessly, providing the front with everything necessary. Many of our countrymen met the fate of becoming prisoners of ghettos and death camps. Today, we remember with deep respect all those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our Motherland.

Despite everything, the people of Glubokoye heroically repelled enemy attacks, fighting in the ranks of the Red Army, partisan detachments, and underground organizations. Many soldiers did not live to see the bright days of Victory. They proved their loyalty to the Oath taken at a very high price – the price of their lives.

The memorial complex in the Borok tract is a place that is a symbol of common memory for each of us! A symbol of courage and patriotism, – these words of the chairman of the district executive committee, Alexander Shubsky, resonated in the hearts of everyone present.

The importance of honoring the memory of all those who laid down their lives for their native land, for all of us, for our common good, was spoken about by the dean of the church district, Archpriest Mikhail Isoitko, addressing all those present.
