Every year, our city of Glubokoye is covered in white cherry blossoms, and in the summer, it delights us with an abundant harvest of juicy berries. There is no cherry tastier than Glubokoye's; this fact has long been recognized. And therefore, it is no coincidence that the Cherry Festival is held in the city, and Glubokoye is rightfully called the Cherry Capital.

On December 6, 2012, the final of the Republican competition of creative works for the promotion of cities and regions of the Republic of Belarus took place in Minsk as part of the III International Forum "Image of the Republic of Belarus: Time to Act."

The project "Cherry Festival," presented by the Glubokoye district and taking an honorable second place, marked the beginning of the process of restoring the Glubokoye region's former honorary title of "Garden City." Today, beautiful fruit-bearing cherry trees can be seen in every yard of our city and district. This is thanks to the fact that in the 1920s and 1930s, our compatriot, breeder Boleslav Lapyra, developed his own frost-resistant cherry varieties – a hybrid of cherry and sweet cherry with sweet, juicy, and large fruits.

The Cherry Festival is a bright and exciting event for the whole family! And, of course, the main guest is the Cherry Queen herself! But guests can also expect a lot of other entertainment in various directions!

The festival offers not only the enjoyment of cherry treats but also participation in a variety of activities. Guests will be able to unleash their creative potential and spend their time productively, yet joyfully!

On July 24 – 25, 2026, the town of Glubokoe will transform into the center of a berry celebration, where fun, creativity, and taste will reign supreme! The Cherry Festival 2026 promises to be a vibrant event for all residents and guests of Glubokoe region.
