Attention – children!

In connection with the start of the new academic year, from August 25 to September 05, 2022, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Department of the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs will conduct a special set of measures "Attention-Children!" on the territory of the city of Glubokoye and the Glubokoye district, aimed at preventing child road traffic injuries, instilling in young road users skills of safe behavior on the road, attracting the attention of drivers, parents and educators to the problem of child injuries, and on August 26, 2022, a Unified Road Safety Day will be held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus under the slogan "A Safe Road to School is an Adult's Responsibility!".

In connection with the start of the new academic year, from August 25 to September 05, 2022, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Department of the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs will conduct a special set of measures "Attention-Children!" on the territory of the city of Glubokoye and the Glubokoye district, aimed at preventing child road traffic injuries, instilling in young road users skills of safe behavior on the road, attracting the attention of drivers, parents and educators to the problem of child injuries, and on August 26, 2022, a Unified Road Safety Day will be held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus under the slogan "A Safe Road to School is an Adult's Responsibility!". The purpose of this event is to prevent child road traffic injuries before the start of the academic year.

The main goal of these measures is the prevention and prophylaxis of child road traffic injuries. The preventive campaign is designed to draw public attention to the problem of ensuring children's safety on the road, and to increase the level of responsibility of parents and drivers.

During the campaign, vehicles must travel with low beam headlights on during daylight hours (clause 166.9 of the Traffic Regulations). Special attention will be paid to drivers' compliance with speed limits, rules for passing pedestrian crossings, and safe transportation of children.

The State Traffic Inspectorate urges drivers to be extremely attentive when driving near children's institutions, passing unregulated pedestrian crossings, public transport stops, and in courtyards.

in accordance with Part 3 of Article 18.13 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses, for violation of the above-mentioned clause of the traffic rules, administrative responsibility is provided in the form of a warning or a fine of up to 3 basic units.

Dear parents! Do not forget to remind your children of the simple rules of safe behavior on streets and roads. Ensure that compliance with the traffic rules becomes a habit and a norm of behavior on the street. And do not violate the traffic rules yourself, for the safety of your children. Remember that children under 12 years of age must be in a child restraint system appropriate for their weight and build. The only exception is when the child's height is over 150 cm. A restraint system and a seat belt (which all passengers must be fastened with) will save lives by more than 80% in case of an accident.

Take care of your children and remember that they are always looking at you. They are not afraid, they do not know the danger. They simply imitate. Be a worthy example for your child.
