Attention – children!

The main goal of this event is the prevention and prophylaxis of child road traffic injuries. The preventive campaign is designed to draw public attention to the problem of ensuring children's safety on the road, and to increase the level of responsibility of parents and drivers.

In connection with the end of the academic year, from May 25 to June 05, 2023, the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Department of the Glubokoe District Executive Committee will conduct a special set of measures "" in the city of Glubokoe and the Glubokoe district, aimed at preventing child road traffic injuries, instilling safe road behavior skills in young road users, and drawing the attention of drivers, parents, and educators to the problem of child injuries.

The main goal of this event is the prevention and prophylaxis of child road traffic injuries. The preventive campaign is designed to draw public attention to the problem of ensuring children's safety on the road, and to increase the level of responsibility of parents and drivers.

During the campaign, vehicles must travel with their low beam headlights on during daylight hours (Clause 166.9 of the Traffic Regulations). Special attention will be paid to drivers' compliance with speed limits, rules for passing pedestrian crossings, and safe transportation of children.

The State Automobile Inspectorate urges drivers to be extremely attentive when driving near children's institutions, passing unregulated pedestrian crossings, transport stops, and in courtyards.

In accordance with Part 3 of Article 18.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, a violation of the above-mentioned clause of the Traffic Regulations is subject to administrative liability in the form of a warning or a fine of up to 3 basic units.

Dear parents! Do not forget to remind your children of the simple rules of safe behavior on streets and roads. Ensure that compliance with the Traffic Regulations becomes a habit and a norm of behavior on the street. And do not violate the Traffic Regulations yourselves, for the safety of your children. Remember that children under 12 years of age must be in a child restraint system appropriate for their weight and build. The only exception is

a case where a child's height is over 150 cm. A child restraint system and a seat belt (which all passengers must use) will save a life in more than 80% of cases in the event of a traffic accident.

Take care of your children and remember that they are always watching you. They are not afraid, they do not know danger. They just imitate. Be a worthy example for your child.

On 26.05.2023, a Unified Road Safety Day will be held in the Republic of Belarus under the slogan “Child Trauma – Adult Carelessness!”. The purpose of this event is to prevent child road traffic injuries before the summer holidays.
