Attention! Adverse weather conditions, rules of conduct

According to information from the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, a large amount of precipitation in the form of snow from 18 to 34 mm (44-68% of the monthly norm) fell on the territory of the Vitebsk region from February 17 to 21 of the current year. In the coming days, weather conditions will worsen, with further precipitation – wet snow and rain, fog in places, a sharp temperature drop from +4 to -23 ℃, with wind gusts up to 15-20 m/s.

Upon receiving information about heavy snowfall:

· refrain from traveling around the city by personal vehicle;

· park your car in a garage; if there is no garage, park your car away from trees;

· when outdoors, avoid dilapidated structures and houses with unstable roofs;

· avoid trees, various high-risk structures (bridges, overpasses, pipelines, power lines, potentially hazardous industrial facilities);

· beware of structural elements and objects hanging over buildings, broken power lines, broken glass, and other sources of danger;

· teach children how to act during bad weather;

· move carefully, without rushing, stepping on the entire sole of your foot.

Citizens living in private housing are advised to take measures to clear snow, ice, and icicles from the roofs of their households.
