Young residents of Glubokoye district received their main document.
In anticipation of one of the most important state holidays – Constitution Day – a solemn ceremony was held in Glubokoye district. On March 13, at the district executive committee building, schoolchildren of the district were presented with passports of citizens of the Republic of Belarus in a festive atmosphere. The event was held as part of the All-Belarusian patriotic campaign "We are Citizens of Belarus!".
This campaign, initiated by the Belarusian Republican Youth Union in 2004, has become a good tradition throughout the country. Receiving one's main document from the hands of respected people on such a significant day is an event that will undoubtedly remain in the memory of every young man and woman for a lifetime.
The chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, Petr Kazimirovich Belus, the chairman of the District Council of Deputies, Vera Mikhailovna Telitsa, the prosecutor of Glubokoye District, Valery Mikhailovich Dailidenok, and the head of the citizenship and migration department of the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs, Dmitry Veniaminovich Khokholko, came to congratulate the children on this important step into adulthood.
Addressing the participants of the celebration, the head of the district, Petr Kazimirovich Belus, emphasized the special significance of this moment.
– Today you are not just receiving an identity document. You are receiving a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus – a country with a rich history and a great future. From this day on, a special responsibility rests on you: to be worthy citizens, to study well, to work for the benefit of your native land, and to glorify our Glubokoye region with your deeds. I am sure you will carry this high title with honor, – noted Petr Kazimirovich.
Warm words of encouragement were also spoken by the Chairperson of the District Council of Deputies, Vera Mikhailovna Telitsa. She wished the children to always remember their roots, respect their elders, love their Motherland, and boldly pursue their goals.
– A passport is a symbol of your belonging to the Belarusian people, a symbol of your rights and, of course, your responsibilities. May this day become a starting point for new achievements and successes. Be patriots, believe in yourselves, and may all your dreams come true on your native land, – said Vera Mikhailovna.
After the words of encouragement, the most anticipated moment arrived. To the applause of those present, honored guests presented the young citizens with their first passports, as well as memorable gifts, including an edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. The happy and slightly embarrassed smiles on the children's faces spoke more eloquently than any words about the significance of the event. They will remember this day forever as the beginning of a new, adult, and responsible stage of their lives.
