Business forum in Vitebsk reveals region’s potential in many ways
VITEBSK, 21 October (BelTA) – The investment forum “Innovative business – investment into the future” has revealed the potential of Vitebsk Oblast in many ways, Phan Huy Phuoc, Trade Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in Belarus, told BelTA on 21 October. “I’ve had an opportunity to take part in the investment forum in Vitebsk before. This time it features investment projects from enterprises, organizations and universities of the oblast that allow one to get familiar with the potential of the region in various spheres in full,” said the diplomat. In his words, the forum is an excellent opportunity for investors and businessmen to get complete understanding of the projects that can be implemented in Vitebsk Oblast. “As a representative of the embassy I will present all the information about the projects the forum has offered to representatives of our business circles. Getting familiar with these projects will certainly invoke the interest of potential investors,” said Phan Huy Phuoc. He also remarked that Belarus-Vietnam trade and economic relations are developing rapidly despite the distance between the countries, different mentality and climate conditions. In January-August 2011 Belarus-Vietnam trade totaled $140 million, virtually the level of 2010 when the figure was at $145 million. Phan Huy Phuoc reminded that about figure years ago Belarus-Vietnam trade was only $20-30 million.
