Businessmen from 20 countries to participate in business forum “Investment Initiatives of Vitebsk Oblast”
VITEBSK, March 18 (BelTA) – Businessmen from 20 countries will take part in economic business forum “Investment Initiatives of Vitebsk Oblast” on March 18-20, BelTA learnt from Konstantin Cherny, deputy head of the economy department of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee. Diplomats and businessmen from Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovakia, China, Iran, Vietnam, India and other countries will get familiar with more than 100 investment projects which are expected to be carried out by companies of the Vitebsk oblast. The participants of the forum will be also informed about the Belarusian legislative base which promotes and develops the development of business in small towns and in the Vitebsk Free Economic Zone. During the second day of the forum, the potential investors will get familiar with the existing joint ventures and foreign companies in Vitebsk. They will visit the sites where investment projects are expected to be carried out. The potential investors will be proposed the projects to produce import-substituting and innovation products, to use secondary and local resources, renewable energy, power saving technology, develop tourism infrastructure and road service. Several flax processing plants of the region will present projects dealing with the production of fuel from flax-processing wastes.
