VITEBSK, March 26 (BelTA) - The Days of the Vitebsk oblast will be held in the Latgale region of Latvia, BelTA learnt from deputy chair of the economy department of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Konstantin Chorny. The Latgale region of Latvia which borders on the Vitebsk oblast supports close contacts with Belarus. The region incorporates six administrative districts (Balvi, Ludza, Rezekne, Preili, Kraslava and Daugavpils). The Vitebsk delegation will visit the town of Daugavpils where around seventy Belarusian companies including Naftan, Polotsk-Steklovolokno, canning factories and others to display their products and participate in a contact-cooperation exchange with the participation of Latvian businessmen. The Vitebsk delegation will also visit some enterprises of Daugavpils and present investment possibilities of the Vitebsk oblast. During the business forum, the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Latgale government will sign a cooperation agreement. The Vitebsk Town Administration, the Daugavpils and Rezekne administrations, the Braslav, Miory, Verkhnedvinsk, Vitebsk and Glubokoe regions of Belarus and the Latgale administrative districts will sign cooperation agreements as well.
