MOGILEV, 8 July (BelTA) – Director General of Bobruiskagromash Evgeny Pakhilko has been named Man of Action for his contribution to increasing exports during the global financial and economic crisis, BelTA learnt from the marketing department of the company. The contest was held by the Business (East + West) Magazine. The results of the contest were summed up by the public editorial board composed of prominent Belarusian businessmen, economists and public figures. Participants of the contest were nominated by business alliances, industrial associations, public and professional unions of businessmen. This year the candidates were also nominated by the ministries of foreign affairs, industry, trade, agriculture and food, housing and utilities, architecture and construction. Evgeny Pakhilko has been in charge of Bobruiskagromash for 26 years. Under his guidance, Bobruiskagromash has become a major producer of trailed and mounted agricultural machines in the CIS and the Baltic states. To keep the production growth, Bobruiskagromash is expanding trade and dealership network in the CIS and other foreign countries, searching for new partners and sales markets. Bobruiskagromash has opened seven joint companies in the CIS countries. Bobruiskagromash exports about a half of its output. In 2008, the company exported products to 15 countries. The export made up more than $34 million. In January-June 2009, Bobruiskagromash exported machines worth $26 million, up 16.9% as against the same period of 2008. All in all, in the period under review, the company posted the output worth Br111.2 billion in comparable prices, up 13.5% as against the same period of 2008.
