VITEBSK, 15 April (BelTA) – A delegation of the French canton of Chauffailles is set to get familiar with the development of agricultural production and education in Vitebsk Oblast. Guests from the partner city will be received in Novopolotsk on 16-22 April, BelTA learnt from Deputy Chairman of the Novopolotsk Town Council Vyacheslav Durnov. The French city and Novopolotsk have an agreement on cooperation in the economic, cultural and social areas. This time the French delegation comprising agrarian experts will visit the Mayak-Braslavsky agricultural company (Braslav District) and a farmstead. The program of the visit will also include a tour of educational institutions of Novopolotsk and familiarization with the pedagogical novelties. Novopolotsk teachers will share French language teaching methods and the experience of IT application in the curriculum. French guests will also get familiar with out-of-class activities and decorative and applied arts courses. The Novopolotsk bilingual gymnasium and educational establishments of Chauffailles are expected to sign a cooperation program for 2011-2012.
