VITEBSK, 8 July (BelTA) - A record high number of sponsors and advertisers was registered at the 20th International Arts Festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus’ Culture Minister Pavel Latushko told a press conference dedicated to opening the forum on 8 July, BelTA has learned. Extra-budgetary sources of financing account for 60% of the total this year. Tickets booking revenues went up 15% compared with a year earlier to reach Br6.5 billion. Meanwhile, the price for tickets remained practically the same. According to Pavel Latushko, sponsors’ aid and advertising revenues have become the record high. Thus the amount of sponsors’ aid increased more than three times as against 2010 to Br2.75 billion, advertising profits went up 1.8 times over the previous year to the total of Br1 billion. Almost a half of Slavonic Bazaar tickets were sold by tourist agencies which organize tours to festival Vitebsk. Moreover, an opportunity to buy tickets in the Internet attracted people from Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Lithuania.
