DAUGAVPILS, April 24 (BelTA) – Eleven agreements on cooperation and agreements on developing good neighbourly relations were signed at the business forum “Vitebsk Oblast Days in Latgale” on April 24, BelTA has learnt. Vitebsk and Daugavpils have signed a programme for implementing cooperation agreements. The business relations of the two cities will focus on developing trade and economic ties. In particular, the programme provides for supporting Vitebsk and Daugavpils businessmen in creating commodity distribution networks in the friendly cities. Vitebsk and Rezekne have signed a similar agreement. Novopolotsk, Polotsk and Ventspils have worked out a joint plan of cooperation for this year in line with the twinning agreement. These cities also intend to consider the possibility of joint supplies of producer and consumer goods. Five regions of the Vitebsk oblast and five cities and regions of Latvia have signed programmes for developing business and culture contacts. The business forum will end on April 25. The most active participants are supposed to win diplomas.
