VITEBSK, 30 December (BelTA) – The Vitebsk Machine Tool Plant VISTAN was corporatized, BelTA learnt from Vitebskoblimushchestvo territorial fund. VISTAN statutory fund is equal to more than Br33.1 billion. A total of 1,507,880 ordinary shares of Br22,000 par value each will be issued to that amount. All shares will remain in state ownership. Before the first meeting of shareholders, the Industry Ministry will make decisions within the competence of the General Meeting and the Supervisory Board of the company. Founded in 1914, VISTAN is one of the oldest machine tool enterprises in the country. The product portfolio features more than 850 basic models and modifications of the circular, pivot and centerless machines, gear cutting, CNC machining centers, lathes, special, woodworking machines. The quality management system has been certified according to ISO 9001-2001. The plant employs over 800 people.
