Alexander Lukashenko urges to set up productions which use local raw materials
The local authorities need to concentrate efforts on setting up production facilities which use local raw materials, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko set this task during a meeting dedicated to new appointments on January 9, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service. According to him, this will help the Belarusian regions to create additional jobs, improve the economy. Boosting export and maximum substitution of imports are among the priorities of the country, Alexander Lukashenko highlighted. “We have set the task – all the goods produced in Belarus should be sold. We need to enter new markets. We have to preserve the production and labour force. The global financial crisis will not last forever. When it is over the production will be in demand,” the President noted. In 2009, Belarus will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the liberation from the Nazi invaders. “We need to prepare for this event properly. Despite the difficulties we should demonstrate that the heroic deed of our people will be always honoured,” Alexander Lukashenko said. Alexander Lukashenko demanded to cut out the bureaucracy, especially if it concerns solving the problems of support and protection of the family.
