Belarus businessmen to visit Australia
MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – A delegation of representatives of Belarusian enterprises will be on a business trip to Australia on 13-19 August, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The trip is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the auspices of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia. The Belarusian delegation will visit Perth – “oil and gas capital” and one of the three biggest cities of Australia, home to 75% of the population of the state of Western Australia. The agenda of the visit features the first Belarus-Australia business seminar arranged by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia. The Belarusian businessmen will tour Australian companies and take part in a match-making session to discuss business cooperation, export and import of goods and setting up joint ventures. The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry underlined that this will be the first visit of Belarusian business circles to Australia; at present economic cooperation with Australia is insignificant. Belarus exports only tractors, tyres and fertilizers to Australia. According to preliminary information, Australian businessmen expressed interest in the products of the enterprises which representatives will come to Australia.
