The draw of the finals of the European women’s handball championships took place in Macedonia. The tournament will be held in that country on December 2-14, 2008. Belarus will play the qualifying round in Group C. The match against Sweden will take place on December 2/3, Russian on December 4/5 and Austria December 6/7. The nations placing first, second and third in each group will advance to the next round. The qualifiers from Group A will be united with representatives of Group B. The other six-nation group will be formed from delegates of Group C and Group D.
