Belarus imposes temporary ban on import of animal products
MINSK, April 29 (BelTA) – Belarus has introduced a temporary ban on the import of animal products from the countries who confirmed the swine flu cases, BelTA learnt from Darya Kozlovskaya, spokeswoman for the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus. Temporary restrictions will be put on the import of animal products and fodder from Mexico, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, France, Spain, Israel and Great Britain. “The list of states can be enlarged in connection of the spread of the virus,” Darya Kozlovskaya said. The Agriculture and Food Ministry has taken stricter measures to prevent the virus from getting and spreading in Belarus. Belarus has toughened control at the Belarusian airports, the railway and the border.
