Belarus-Tajikistan bilateral cooperation praised
ASHGABAT, 4 December (BelTA) – Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Tajikistan Vladimir Makei and Hamrokhon Zarifi praised the level of cooperation between the two countries in a meeting in Ashgabat on 4 December, BelTA has learnt. According to Mr Vladimir Makei, the meeting between the two heads of state during the official visit of the President of Belarus to Tajikistan in October 2011 gave an additional impetus to the bilateral trade and economic cooperation. “As for cooperation in the international arena, we have no problems here. We have been closely collaborating within international organizations,” he noted. Vladimir Makei confirmed the invitation to the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan to visit Belarus. According to Mr Hamrokhon Zarifi, Belarus and Tajikistan boast successful partnership. The two countries have reached a number of agreements to boost the political and economic cooperation. The implementation of these agreements will take the Belarusian-Tajik relations onto a higher level. “We have always supported each other in the international arena including in the UN, the OSCE and other international organizations,” the Tajik official stressed. As BelTA has reported earlier, a meeting of the CIS Ministerial Council will take place in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, on 4 December.
