MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – The international interuniversity modern dance festival “Make a step forward!” will be held in the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine on 18 April, BelTA learnt from the Central Cmmittee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM). Taking part in the festival will be dance groups from Belarusian and Russian universities including guests from the Saint Petersburg State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Velikie Luki and Smolensk State Agricultural Academies. The festival will be held in two rounds. The students will show dance routines in street dance or jazz modern styles. Young people will also take part in the contest of hip-hop, rock-and-roll, folk dances in modern interpretation and other styles. Besides, all volunteers will be able to take part in master classes on modern dance which will be held by leading choreographers of Belarus. The international interuniversity modern dance festival “Make a step forward!” is dedicated to the International Dance Day. The event will be held by the BRSM organization of the Vitebsk Academy of Veterinary Science in honor of French ballet master Jean George Nover.
