As of March 2008, the audience of the TV channel Belarus-TV made up 220 million people, Valery Radutsky, the chief of Belarus-TV board of directors told a press-conference. The international satellite channel Belarus-TV started broadcasting in the countries of North America. In line with the agreement between the Belarusian TV and Radio Broadcasting Company and the GlobeCast Company, a subsidiary of the company France Telecom, the Belarusian TV channel is transmitted by two satellites – Express-AM22 and Galaxy 25. Belarus-TV programmes are broadcast in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Guatemala. The Belarusian TV channel is screened at the WorldTV’s platform within the package including the channel PTP-Planet, Ukrainian 1+1 International, the National Television of Armenia, the Russian-language TV channel Israel+, the Azerbaijani Television. The TV channels are transmitted by the satellite Galaxy 25. nThe GlobeCast Company provides services on advancing the Belarusian TV channel to the American market and monitors the programmes that are in demand.
