Emergencies Ministry of Belarus delivers humanitarian aid to Tajikistan
The Il-76 aircraft operated by the Transaviaexport carrier airlifted the humanitarian cargo to Tajikistan. The cargo unloaded, the aircraft will return to Minsk, spokesman for the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus Vitaly Novitsky told BelTA. He also reminded, the Government passed a relevant resolution following a request of EurAsEC Secretary General Tair Mansurov to help Tajikistan in connection with the crisis caused by the unusually cold winter. The aid includes two diesel mobile power plants, 5,000 blankets and 10,000 meat cans. This is not the first action of the kind. The last time Belarus provided aid to Tajikistan was in 1999. Since its founding in 1999, the Emergencies Ministry has taken part in 21 humanitarian actions. The aid has been provided to 17 countries.
