Kiev to host session of tourist unions of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine
TOLOCHIN, 22 September (BelTA) – A session of representatives of the tourist unions of the Russian Federation, Belarus and Ukraine will be held during a tourist exhibition in Kiev on 28 September, BelTA learnt from executive director of the Belarus Union of Tourist Organizations Valentin Tsekhmeister who is taking part in the seminar on creation of the tourist route “From the Varangians to the Greeks”. The session is expected to discuss the urgent issues of the tourism area, the boundary cooperation, the problems of the cooperation with customs and border services, the promotion of the national tourist projects. “We intend to appeal to the governments of the three countries if these problems will require their solution at the state level,” Valentin Tsekhmeister said. According to the specialist, this year Belarusian health centers and resorts were in great demand. Moreover, the activity of the rural tourism has increased significantly. The rural tourism plays an important role in promotion of the tourist possibilities of the country, Valentin Tsekhmeister noted. According to the representative of the Belarus Union of Tourist Organizations, this winter Belarusian tourist companies expect a burst of activity among the foreigners who would like to have a rest at the Belarusian ski resorts – Staiki, Silichi and Logoisk.
