MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has approved Customs Union draft agreements, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service. On 28 June, the head of state signed Decree No. 335 to approve the draft agreement on the exemption from some customs controls in the Customs Union as the basis for holding the relevant negotiations. Apart from that, the President signed Decree No. 336 to approve the draft agreement regulating the use of vehicles in the international transportation of passengers as well as the use of trailers, semi-trailers, containers and the rolling stock transporting cargo and (or) luggage within the customs territory of the Customs Union. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov was authorized to negotiate the draft agreements and sign them provided they are approved by the parties. Under the decrees, the agreements will be temporarily used in the time period from the enactment of the Customs Code agreement of the Customs Union of 27 November 2009 till their entry into force.
