The president asked the government how it plans to punish those who don't keep their premises clean and tidy. “Some individuals have unmowed lawns, fallen fences, garbage, etc. on their property. Make sure we will not have to have an unpleasant conversation about it by the New Year. You know, I travel a lot. I can go and see things with my own eyes. On Saturday I traveled around all the villages in the north of Minsk District. As I was riding, I was looking at the fields, at the way things are done there. It's a mess. I would ask you to keep this in mind. The conversation will be tough,” the president said.

Speaking about landscaping, Aleksandr Lukashenko gave clear and specific instructions. If it is a pensioner who lives alone, or a disabled person, then local authorities should help and a village council should take care of it. And if a person has healthy children, grandchildren, etc., it should be their responsibility. “If they refuse, they will have to pay for it,” the Belarusian leader remarked.

He noted that the approach to business premises should be the same: “A plot may be very humble, but clean. It's not my idea - it's a long-standing tradition to have order in everything. Paraphrasing a classic, “If your mind is a mess, it will show in all other areas of life”.
