Lukashenko: policy of dictatorship is absolutely impossible for Belarus
MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – The policy of dictatorship is absolutely impossible for country like Belarus, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview with largest German mass media companies. Alexander Lukashenko noted that in order for policy of dictatorship to be implemented one would need resources which Belarus simply does not have. “We do not have such resource and neither do I to be a dictator”, said the head of state. “Secondly, this is not who I am. I have never been a dictator and never will be one because I was not borne this way. You have to be borne a dictator. I will never break harmony in which our society exists. And neither will I go against the wishes of our society. NE-VER!! Moreover, it is not a trace of Belarusian character to want dictatorship or to put somebody on the throne. Never!” stressed Alexander Lukashenko. Today, there is only one country in the world which has necessary resource for full scale dictatorship and this country is the United States of America who actually is implementing this policy of dictatorship. As soon as they wanted - they started the war in Iraq, as soon as they wanted - they started bombing Afghanistan (and before this, there was Vietnam and so on and so forth). And nobody says that they [in the USA] have dictatorship. Where are those German democratic journalists to confront this? But as far as Lukashenko is concerned - he is dictatorship," the president said. He also added that he feels comfortable discussing this issue with Germans as at certain point in their history, Germans truly experienced what the policy of dictatorship was. "The only possible conclusion is that dictatorship is bad for any society. And sooner or later it brings such society and country down,” noted the President of Belarus.
