Lukashenko wants agricultural enterprises to be able to buy machines
MINSK DISTRICT, 21 September (BelTA) – Solvent demand of agricultural enterprises for machines should be secured, control over the storage and operation of machines should be increased, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during his working trip around Minsk Oblast on 21 September. The head of state instructed oblast governors to put together an order for modern agricultural machines that the agricultural enterprises need taking into account proprietary financial capabilities and state support. Alexander Lukashenko said that agricultural machinery manufacturers should work at 100% capacity 24/7 and provide a sufficient number of machines to Belarusian agricultural enterprises. Alexander Lukashenko warned against relying too much on state budget support in buying the machines. Alexander Lukashenko was made familiar with a new Belarus-made forage harvester. Its performance can match that of the world’s best competitors. The demand for the machines is estimated at 500-600 units while next year the manufacturer will be able to make 50-60 of them. The head of state demanded that the output should be raised to 100 and prices should be reduced. The President also urged to step up control over the storage and operation of agricultural machines. The head of state suggested getting agricultural machines ready for the next harvesting campaign after this one is over the way it was done during the Soviet Union times. “It is a good tradition that we have to revive. Once a harvesting season is over, get your machines ready for the next one,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
