MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – Over 54 million people in 14 countries will be able to watch the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk festival on the MIR TV channel, BelTA was told in the office of the channel in Minsk. MIR will show a solemn opening and closing concerts of the festival and a song contest. The channel will inform the viewers about the other events of the festival in the Festival Diaries program that will be broadcast twice a day. In line with a tradition, the MIR TV channel will present a special award to one of the participants of the Vitebsk 2010 song contest. The award and a $2,000 prize are granted for the promotion of national traditions. The recipient of the prize will be selected by the MIR executives and the jury of the competition.
