MOSCOW, 11 May (BelTA) – A bicycle rally, The Youth of Belarus and Russia – Road to the Union State Future, starts in Smolensk on 20 May. It will run through Smolensk, Krasnyi, Orsha, Vitebsk, Velizh, and Demidov, BelTA learnt from the Permanent Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Total mileage of the rally is 345 kilometers. It is organized by the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Sports, Tourism, and Youth Policy Department of Smolensk Oblast under the auspices of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, the Youth Department of Belarus’ Education Ministry, the Ministry of Sports, Tourism, and Youth Policy of Russia, and local authorities of the Smolensk Oblast of Russia. Taking part in the rally will be leaders of youth organizations, young teachers and university students, and young MPs. The rally will include patriotic, cultural, and sports events as well as friendly games in various sports.
