President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez is expected to arrive in Belarus on a one-day working visit on July 23, the press service of the President of the Republic of Belarus told BelTA. Hugo Chavez and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko are expected to hold both narrow-format and extended talks, with bilateral documents to be signed. Hugo Chavez visited Belarus in 2006 and 2007. In December 2007, Alexander Lukashenko paid an official visit to Venezuela. In Caracas the Belarusian head of state held talks with Hugo Chavez, during which the sides agreed to enhance cooperation in political, trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian areas. During the visit several important documents were signed and a Belarusian-Venezuelan oil-extracting joint venture in the State of Anzoategui was opened.
