Glubokoye Tinned Food Factory has launched a new tetra-packed juice production line, chief engineer of the company Leonid Barilo told BelTA. The Swedish production line has been installed in line with the regional programme on upgrading tinned food industry by 2010. The total investments in the project exceeded Br1 billion. By the end of the year the factory will produce 240 thousand juice packs. The capacity of the line is 3.6 thousand juice packs per hour. At first the factory will produce four types of juice – multivitamin, tomato, carrot-apple and apple-peach which are the most popular in the market. In 2008, as soon as the production capacity reaches 12 million juice packs a year, the factory will expand the assortment to ten types of juice including birch, orange and pineapple juice. Local feedstock will be used. Exotic juice concentrates will be exported. Over the ten months of 2007 Glubokoye Tinned Food Factory manufactured Br5.3 billion worth of products. The company has developed 16 new kinds of juice and concentrates. About 15% of the products are destined for export.
