New oil deposit discovered in Gomel Region
A new deposit of black gold was discovered in the Gomel Region. The prospective area is located in the Gartsev field located in Khoyniki and Rechitsa districts. To localize the deposit discovered here back in 2022, the oilmen conducted comprehensive seismic work and drilled a new well for additional exploration.
The studies confirmed the high potential of the previously discovered deposit and made it possible to find a new one. The resource base of the two facilities is estimated at 1 million tons of hydrocarbons.
The Belarusian specialists are successfully discovering new reserves of valuable resources. There is enough knowledge and competence. The most modern technologies and comprehensive state support are in their arsenal. As a result, the territories, which were previously considered unpromising, get a new life, jobs are created and infrastructure is developed. Last year Belorusneft produced a record hydrocarbons for 28 years - almost 1 million 900 thousand tons.
