23 facilities to be auctioned in Vitebsk oblast

Some 23 facilities will be auctioned in the Vitebsk oblast in H1 2008, BelTA learnt from Larisa Scheglova, the head of the auctions and tenders department of the Vitebsk oblast fund Vitebskoblimuschestvo. The facilities to be auctioned are incomplete constructions which are ready at 60% and which have not been used by their owners for more than two years. All the facilities are located in regional centres and villages. For example, 15 buildings will be auctioned in the former military community of Zubrevichi of the Orsha region. The initial price of a facility will be equal to one base amount. According to Larisa Scheglova, potential buyers show a great interest in purchasing the facilities at one base amount. In 2007, four state-owned facilities were auctioned in the region at the aggregate price of Br14 million. New owners intend to develop production activity and to use the facilities as road servicing organizations. An opportunity to sell facilities at the price of one base amount is envisaged in decree #108 of February 27, 2007. A reminder, since November 2, 2007, one base amount in Belarus is Br35 thousand.
