Alexander Lukashenko familiarised with production of new building materials by Vityas

Issues relating to the diversification of the manufacturing operation, resource and energy saving, retooling using cutting-edge technologies and solutions at RUPP Vityas are in the centre of attention of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko as the head of state is visiting the Vitebsk-based radio electronics company. Vityas is a multibusiness company, which offers TV sets, medical equipment, satellite television systems, furniture, special manufacturing equipment, building materials, fire-fighting machines, special-use products. The head of state was made familiar with the starting up of the production of new construction materials by the company. The President was told, Vityas constantly works to renew and extend its product line-up. The company started manufacturing construction materials seven years ago, with the production always on the rise. Last year building materials accounted for 2% of the company’s output while this year the figure will reach 5%. Expanding the construction materials branch will allow creating 500 jobs. In 2007 the company turned out around Br2 billion worth of construction materials. Vityas offers five kinds of pavement slabs, two kinds of pavement and road edge stones, 20 kinds of wall cast stone, insulating materials and blocks made of polystyrol concrete. Construction materials are sold on the home market and exported to Russia. Founded in 1976, Vityas is the CIS only TV maker, which handles the entire manufacturing cycle, ensuring high quality of its products. It has been a republican unitary manufacturing enterprise since 2001. The company’s premises occupy over 185 hectares, with the number of employees approaching 5,000 people.
