Belarus President visiting Vitebsk biofactory

VITEBSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is on a visit to the Vitebsk biofactory, BelTA has learnt. The head of state will be informed on the measures being taken to secure the country’s cattle breeding industry with national veterinary medications. Alexander Lukashenko will get familiar with the production of veterinary preparations at the Vitebsk biofactory and their supplies on the domestic and foreign markets. The President is supposed to look into the proposals of the Vitebsk oblast executive committee on the construction and upgrading of the Vitebsk facilities and the general urban scheme alterations. The Vitebsk biofactory is Belarus’ only biological company that produces medical serums and bacterial vaccines for the cattle breeding industry. Over 60 descriptions of products have been developed since 1995. The reconstruction of the company began in the year of 2005 in order to create due sanitary and hygiene conditions, reorganize technological processes and meet the growing needs of the industry in biological preparations. To complete technological remodeling the company needs additional Br4.5 billion from the national budget.
