Minsk and Polotsk to host concerts of German organ music this autumn

The concert which will be held in the Sophia Cathedral of Polotsk on September 21 will continue the season of the German organ music in Belarus. The musical project is being carried out under the auspices of the German Embassy in Belarus. As BelTA learnt in the German diplomatic mission, the musical compositions created by Johann Sebastian Bach, Max Reger and Dietrich Buxtehude will be presented at the concert with the participation of Kseniya Pogorelaya. Ksenoiya Pogorelaya is a soloist of the concert hall of the Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk (organ), a laureate of the international festival of spiritual music Magutny Bozha in Mogilev (1993), a participant of various music festivals in Russia, Germany, Austria, Poland and Switzerland. On September 27, a concert with the participation of Vladimir Nevdakh (organ), Ruslan Kurbatsky (trumpet), Tamara Remez (soprano) will be held in the St. Mary Catholic Church of Minsk. The concert will be held within the framework of the 5th week of Germany in Belarus and a festival of organ music. According to German diplomats, the German organ music will be performed both the German and Belarusian musicians. The musical season opened in the St. Mary Catholic Church of Minsk during the 7th week of the church music on July 9. The week of the church music was organized by the Belarusian State Academy of Music and the church music section of the liturgical commission of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Belarus. Compositions created by Johann Sebastian Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Bartoldi, Schumann, Thierry Escaich, Francis Pulenk, Oliver Messiaen were presented at the concert.
