Vitebsk oblast to present more than 100 investment projects at business forum

VITEBSK, March 9 (BelTA) – Businessmen from Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Italy, Israel, Russia will take part in economic business forum “Investment Initiatives of Vitebsk Oblast” on March 18-20, BelTA learnt in the economy department of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee. Attending the forum will be also representatives of diplomatic missions of Serbia, China, India, Hungary, Venezuela and also 8 twin towns of the regions and towns of the Vitebsk oblast. Companies of the Vitebsk oblast intend to propose more than 100 investment projects. A significant part of the projects are aimed at setting up companies, new working places in small towns and villages of the Vitebsk oblast. Potential investors will be proposed the projects to produce import-substituting and innovation products, to use secondary and local resources, renewable energy, power saving technology, develop tourism infrastructure and road service. Several flax processing plants of the region will present projects dealing with the production of fuel from flax-processing wastes. Within the framework of the forum, foreign participants will get familiar with companies of the region.
