Vityas to roll out three new LCD TV sets in 2008

This year Belarusian TV maker Vityas plans to start manufacturing three models of liquid crystal display TV sets with the screen size as large as 26, 37 and 42 inches, Vityas representatives told BelTA. With these three models the company will complete its line-up of PREMIUM TV sets. The line-up will feature six models in 2008. The company started manufacturing 15, 20 and 32-inch screen TV sets in 2007. The PREMIUM line-up boasts classic design and the latest digital technologies, which provide an exclusive picture quality, high contrast of the picture in comparison with CRT TV sets and the ability to receive up to 100 channels. Among other niceties these models boast lack of X-ray radiation and static electricity, a long service life and low energy consumption. Several models of the PREMIUM line-up can be used as computer monitors. The TV sets can be coupled with other external devices such as DVD players, video recorders, and set-top boxes. In 2008 Vityas also plans to offer home theatres. Those will be available in retail stores by the end of H1 2008. Besides, the company plans to start manufacturing various types of vacuum cleaners (for dry and wet cleaning, with cycle filters). The vacuum cleaners will be available in February. This year Vityas also plans to start manufacturing disc electric kettles. With the capacity varying from 1 litre to 1.8 litres, the kettles will be available this year. Founded in 1976, Vityas is the CIS only TV maker, which handles the entire manufacturing cycle, ensuring high quality of its products. The company offers almost 30 models and over 100 modifications of TV sets and eight models of DVD players. The company also manufactures medical equipment, fire-fighting machines, furniture and construction materials. The company premises occupy over 185 hectares, with the number of employees approaching 5,000 people.
