Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik told the Belarus 1 TV channel about the technical aspects of preparations for the spring planting, BelTA informs.
“Our ministry and the Agriculture and Food Ministry have fulfilled virtually all the tasks set for us. A great amount of hard and painstaking work has been done. It was not only about the repair of equipment, but also personnel training. Some 1,500 – 1,600 specialists have been retrained to perform equipment repair. The equipment has been prepared, this pertains primarily to tractors, sowing equipment. This gives us confidence that planting will be done properly,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
The state administration system at the level of district administrations works just fine, this is why there is no need to break it or introduce some other areas of activity. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement as he made a number of personnel appointments on 21 March, BelTA has learned.
