The Belarusian government issued a resolution to approve the procedure and the terms of granting and paying the family capital, Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said at the session of the House of Representatives of the fifth convocation when presenting the government action program for 2015, BelTA has learned.
"On 24 February the government, within the time period specified by the head of state, adopted Resolution No. 128 to approve the regulations on the procedure and the terms of graining the family capital", the Prime Minister said.
The resolution reads that the family which has the third or subsequent children this year can exercise their right to the family capital within six months from the date of birth of the child.
"The resolution regulates the whole process, to the point of what forms and documents are needed to be filled out to claim the family capital" said Andrei Kobyakov. According to him, the document will be published officially today or tomorrow.
On 1 January 2015 Belarus introduced additional measures of state support for families with children. They are provided for by the president’s decree on additional measures of state support for families raising children and are aimed at stimulating the birth of second and subsequent children. The decree on the family capital program provides for one-time cashless transfer of $10,000 to families upon the birth of the third and subsequent children. The money can be used to improve housing conditions, get education or other services, including social services and healthcare services, or be deposited to a mother’s pension account.
