Belarus, Kuwait reach agreements on economic, investment cooperation

MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – The parties of the second meeting of the joint Belarusian-Kuwaiti commission on trade and economic cooperation which took place in Minsk on 1 September reached agreements to develop cooperation in economy and investment, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The parties signed the final protocol to fix the main agreements that were reached to develop cooperation in the investment, trade and economic sectors as well as cooperation in sports and tourism, agriculture, collaboration between the law-enforcement bodies and the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries.

The parties also agreed to hold the third meeting of the joint Belarusian-Kuwaiti commission on trade and economic cooperation in Al Kuwait in 2015.

The Kuwaiti delegation led by Undersecretary of Kuwait's Ministry of Finance Khalifa Hamad met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valentin Rybakov, Chairman of the Belarusian part of the joint commission and First Deputy Finance Minister of Belarus Vladimir Amarin.

The foreign delegation also held meetings in the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Development Bank.
