MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – About $700-800 million will be invested in the implementation of the Big Family program within the next five years, Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Rumas said in an interview to the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“Over the next five years about $700-800 million will be injected into the program. The program will be successful if the birth of third children in families will increase by at least 5% on an annual basis,” the Chairman of the Board said.
The Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus plans to finance the Big Family program with its own funds. While children grow, their money will be working on the real economy of the country. “We will choose the projects that will secure good returns and efficiency. The bank will develop a mechanism to inform the community where the Big Family money work, and we will post a list of projects implemented with the help of these funds on our website on a regular basis,” Sergei Rumas stressed.
